The UBC Plastic Surgery resident cosmetic clinic is the longest standing resident cosmetic clinic in Canada, with over 30 years of experience. Senior plastic surgery residents in their final year of training run a cosmetic surgery clinic under the supervision of expert cosmetic plastic surgeons in Vancouver. Private-pay procedures offered include:

• Breast augmentation

• Breast lift (mastopexy)

• Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)

• Liposuction

• Face lift

• Brow lift

• Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty)

• Nasal surgery (rhinoplasty)

• Other select cosmetic operations

Referrals and applications:

Patients can self-refer into the clinic. The Clinic is only available to residents of BC that hold a valid BC Health Care Number.

• Please be advised that patients seeking revision plastic surgery for procedures performed outside the clinic are not candidates for surgery through the clinic due to the extremely challenging and unpredictable nature of revision procedures.

• Wait-lists vary by procedure, time of year, and patient availability.

• Consultations and follow-ups are performed at the Diamond Health Care Center at Vancouver General Hospital.

• Private-pay surgeries are performed at out-patient private surgical centers in Vancouver. To be eligible to undergo surgery in these settings, patients must be in good health. Occasionally, overnight monitoring is required at an additional cost to the patient. 

• Patients require a BMI of less than 35 to be eligible for out-patient procedures.​​

• Patients need to be at a stable weight for a minimum of 6-12 months before being considered for surgery (typically 12-18 months post-bariatric surgery)
